Spooky Season with a Western Twist

By Madi Dunbar

October is upon us. Cooler weather, fall colors throughout the trees and pumpkins lining doorways of homes. Though lots of people like to skip right to the more traditional fall home decorations, Marion Wine is proving that Halloween decor is definitely underrated.

Nestled on a ranch in South, Texas, the Wine’s newly built ranch home is already serious goals. Keeping with the already neutral tones of the house, the black and white Halloween themed decor found in each corner adds just the perfect touch of spooky while also remaining western and fitting in right in with the everyday accents of the home.

Though some may find decorating for Halloween eerie or even morbid, Marion has found a way to create spine chilling spaces throughout her home that make you want to stay for a while. Skull head centerpieces, accent pillows with mysterious sayings and graveyard signs are just some of the highlights that will catch your eye when you walk into the living room, not to mention the subtle black Christmas tree in the corner with bewitching purple lights.

As you head into the dining room you’re greeted with a cobweb draped chandelier, a romantic but haunting candle stick filled table top and sinister themed dish ware. At the center of the table is a tall, black witch complimented by neutral toned, gold accented pumpkins. Marion also added fun, western themed elements such as a cowboy skeleton (drinking a ranch water, of course) and a desert cactus to finish it all off.

You can tell that each and every ghostly surprise you’ll find around the Wine home has thought and detail behind it. Seeing how Marion brought the ghouls and goblins to life throughout her family’s ranch home has us looking up spider webs and skeletons to put around our own. Consider us #influenced. We cannot wait to see what she does for the rest of the holiday seasons! To see more of Marion’s home and lifestyle, check out her Instagram here.
